Summary

Pressure is an important parameter in processes. An accurate pressure measurement ensures that the quality of the end product is stable and of a high level. Measuring pressure and calibrating pressure measuring equipment is not as easy as it seems and often goes wrong. In one day you will become acquainted with common errors during pressure measurement and calibration. You get a better insight into which issues influence the pressure measurement. This course is subdivided into three modules and is set up as a blended learning model.

Subject

  • What is pressure
  • Traceability
  • Units and types of pressure
  • Pressure gauges, pressure transmitters and pressure calibrators
  • Measure and calibrate
  • Influence factors
  • Certificate, measurement reports

E-learning

- Module 1 is an e-learning module that you yourself can use prior to the course day. You then work through the self-study topics in three hours and provide some answers to questions.

- The second module is the course day

- Module 3 is a test that you must do within a set time. You have multiple attempts.

This course is for

  • Process engineers
  • Installers
  • Measuring technicians
  • Maintenance staff
  • Operators
  • Proces-engineers

After this course

  • you have a good insight into the many pitfalls that are common to pressure measurement
  • you measure better and you have more confidence in your measurement results
  • If you are not yet a "pressure metrologist": our follow-up courses will train you further if required

Other

  • the course takes 1 day of contact education, an e-learning program in advance of approximately 2 hours and a test of approximately 1 hour
  • costs € 725 including lunch, coffee and course documentation, excluding VAT
  • you will receive either a diploma with a list of marks after sufficient completion of the test or a declaration of participation
  • the course is given on the basis of the second edition (1999) of Textbook Physical Measurement Technology by Ir. A.H.C. van Maldegem and ing. C.J. van Beekum
And based on Pressure measurements, part 1 of M.M.H. Starmans, issued Dec 2014
  • Teacher is Mr. J. C.G.A. Verbeek
